Description
A bottle of Bowmore 22 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, presented in a blue ceramic decanter. This expression was released in the 1990s.
The gulls on this bottle come from a Scottish folk tale where two lovers, a captured Scottish warrior and the daughter of a Pictish king, were fleeing westwards to Islay. Their boat crashed on the shores of Loch Indaal during a storm and the lovers were never found. A pair of white gulls were seen soaring above the Loch and legend has it that, to this day, their song echoes at Bowmore distillery before a storm.
